CourtAlert would like to announce today that earlier this month Apple has approved the CourtAlert app for iPad's. As long as you have a valid profile with CourtAlert you are all set to download (from the Apple Store on your iPad) and can immediately start using the app at no charge. Please use your usual login and password that is used for the CourtAlert web site for access to the app.
This new app allows the user to view cases in NYS Supreme, USDC/Southern District of New York, NYC Civil, Appellate Division First and Second Departments and Surrogate's Court. Aside from court data the user will have access to our database, which includes many PDF files (such as every new complaint in SDNY). The data being updated from court will be the same as if you were visiting our regular web site. Tips, News and similar information are also available.
As you may already know this will be CourtAlert's second app approved by Apple. The first app (Case to Go) is for our Case Management System, which has been very helpful to attorneys while traveling or during trials. We have heard how helpful it is to just press one icon on their iPad for the entire case file without having to visit a court web site or having to go through the firms web site.
If you don't have a user profile, please go to www.CourtAlert.com under New User and create a user profile. All attorneys and staff members at firms that are clients of CourtAlert may have a user profile at no charge, profiles can be set as "inquiry only" without the ability to watch case or create any other charges for the firm.
Others can create a limited-time "trial account.”
To download the application:

On your iPad go to "App Store", search for CourtAlert and download the "CourtAlert® Court Case Information" application

Click and start using the application.
Please note that you can take a "screen shot" of the screen, by pressing the power button and then the center button. Image automatically is saved in photos folder, and email it to others, sharing the current court data with them.
