Courts have resumed normal operations following Hurricane Sandy, except as follows:
New York City:
Red Hook Community Court (Brooklyn) is closed.
Housing Court is open in all counties: Please note that during the week of Nov. 5-9th, no defaults will be taken and there will be no evictions, citywide.
Appellate Term, First Department: Court is open; please note that the calendar for Monday, Nov. 5th, at 10:00 a.m., has been adjourned to Tuesday, Nov. 13th, at 10:00 a.m., and the calendar scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 13th, at 10:00 a.m. has been adjourned to Monday, Nov. 19th, at 10:00 a.m.
Court of Claims (Manhattan): The Court is open. Due to on-going telephone disruptions, if you are unable to reach a Chambers, please call 212-361-8150 for assistance.
Due to ongoing flooding conditions, administrative offices at 25 Beaver Street in Manhattan are closed and there is limited phone service available. Please be patient (and consult this website for information) as we work to restore full phone service.
Nassau County:
Long Beach City Court is closed. All proceedings are being handled out of Hempstead District Court.

The United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit Office of Staff Counsel (CAMP), located at 233 Broadway, continues to operate from a remote location. Questions regarding CAMP operations should be emailed to camp_support@uscourts.gov. Telephone conferences are still being held unless counsel have been otherwise notified
